How to Hate

By Leonard Pigg

I see you out there in the world, acting the way you do

There is nothing righteous about you

Your chains of gold keep you shakled down

As you strut all around this old town

The desires in your head don’t match what’s in your heart

While you kiss the girl, you want to tear the boys apart

You shake my hand, walk away and curse under your breath

Pretend that we’re old friends, while you plot my death

Jealous of all the things that you imagine I am

When you really shouldn’t give a damn

I’ve always been one to share the wealth

You don’t realize, because you lack mental health
