The 2017 Indiana Flower and Patio Show is running through March 19th at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
The theme this year is “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” It's a wedding theme. And, to be frank, the wedding theme kind of limits the appeal of the patio show. After all, in fairness, lots of the suburbanites visiting the show are already married or shacked up…or are just not hosting weddings by their pergolas, hot tubs, and succulent showcases.
But the show is running and it's still pretty good. It's not as good as the past two years' shows. I blame it on the theme. Or the expense and trouble of carting tons of stone, water, and prematurely flowering shrubbery into the state fairgrounds.
Okay, you can maybe see more on Pinterest, honestly. But if you go to the fairgrounds, well, you get more steps. And 10,000 a day is, like, a goal to strive for. Or so I hear.
