Red for bedrooms. Love, passion, energy, warmth. A little life.
Or, if nothing else, a statement against (with?) whatever other color you're sleeping in.
There's a rumor, for what it's worth, that red shades in lighting can make one look thinner.
And, well, happiness has been reputed to come in rose-colored shades.
If you're going to sleep in, it probably doesn't matter what color the blanket is. But for our part, we'd kind of like it to be cardinal, lipstick, rose, antique red. (We're not so choosy.) Red. It rhymes with bed.
And bed is good.
“I love sleep. My life has the tendency to fall apart when I'm awake, you know?” — Ernest Hemingway
