“…Manufacturing in the United States is on the rise in terms of how much business it’s doing but the number of jobs is going down so…and most of those manufacturing plants, 98 percent of them, are small,…so turning around manufacturing in this country is the business of 300,000 different businesses and Donald Trump cannot possibly negotiate each one.” Lisa DeJardin (APM, WAMU The Diane Rehm Show)

So that was really something, wasn’t it? If you missed last Sunday’s interview between Chuck Todd and Reince Priebus on Meet the Press, well, it was a doozie. You can check it, here.
If you, like us, are eternally fascinated with the idea of a universal basic income (a UBI, if you’re nasty), Finland, Ontario, and the Netherlands will be launching experimental versions of it in the coming year. And in the U.S, so will Y Combinator in Silicon Valley.
Enjoy! One thing about @realDonaldTrump on Twitter (besides the awesome abundance of exclamation points and sketchy spelling) is feeling really welcome every time he announces he has an interview on TV coming up. The PEOTUS is prone to tweeting the upcoming interview’s time and station followed by a hearty “Enjoy!” Surely many Americans also feel gratified by the gentle emotional guidance we’re receiving (daily!) from @real: “Enjoy!” when things are to be *enjoyed* and “Sad!” when we should send threats to normal fellow countrymen or at least cast derision their way. Leadership is a big, beautiful thing! Enjoy!
